Knit Night

I actually ventured out of my cave on Tuesday night to join up with some friends for knit night. In truth, I did very little actual knitting, a fair amount of ripping (lace gone wrong), and quite a bit of snacking and beer drinking. And I got to meet the delightful Popotame, our hostess’ gregarious cat.

This knit night has cats!

I’m late coming to this post, but thought I’d share anyway.
Whenever I see cats in close proximity to yarn I worry.  If cats eat yarn/thread/twine etc., they risk contracting intussusception, a disease of the intestine, which is usually fatal unless quickly treated with surgery.

I totally understand your worry. This kitty was being fawned over by a half dozen knitters at the time, with constant supervision, so no worries there.

What a adorable purrrfect kitty. They always seem to be drawn to yarn. Now if we could just teach them to knit 1 and paw1..laughing.
